There are many vineyards around Chenonceaux that embellish the landscapes of the Valley of the Cher. There are several PDO wines : Touraine-Azay-Le-Rideau, AOC Touraine-Meslan, AOC Touraine-Noble Joué, AOC Touraine-Chenonceaux and lastly AOC Touraine-Oisly that are made by our wine growers, there is red, rosé, white, sweet and dry wines and even sparkling wine! You’ll certainly find what you’re looking for!
Come and ask for a map of the wine-growers of the region at the tourist office to discover the different wines of our region! You could also try cheeses, breads and pastries from Touraine while drinking wine!
Street markets and local produces
If you enjoy wandering around in a street market, our region has a lot to offer! You can stop by the numerous stalls selling fruit and vegetables, or cold meats, cheeses, fish and local crafts. There is everything you could dream of on the street markets of Amboise, Loches or Bléré! You’ll meet local people and discover new colours, new tastes and new smells.
